Ohtani Hype: Ohtani Leaves Home Run Record Tied

There’s always something about Sunday baseball that throws me for a loop. I was ready to potentially watch Ohtani break the home run record but was shocked to see the game was not on the Spectrum SportsNet LA schedule yesterday. It turns out that the game was being broadcast on ESPN. The game had a rain delay, again. The wildest part is that it was a home game. It was raining in Los Angeles. I tuned in very briefly as I was preoccupied with Coachella live streams. With Coachella Weekend 1 wrapping up last night, I can finally get back to watching baseball.
The Angels had a 4 PM game against Tampa this afternoon. I missed most of it but saw that they won. I did watch the majority of the Dodgers game to see if Ohtani would break the record for most home runs by a Japanese-born player. The record was left tied. I hope he does it tomorrow so I can see it happen live.
Spectrum SportsNet LA really hypes up the promotion that the Dodgers have where if they get seven or more strikeouts, fans will get a free Jumbo Jack with the purchase of a large drink. I guess that is one way to get people excited for excellent pitching.
I also saw a couple of commercials for Raising Cane’s featuring Mookie Betts. In general, I rarely see commercials for that chain. When will we see commercials for Popeyes or KFC?
